This is a High Grown elevation premium gun powder Green Tea. The tightly twisted leaf and the high grown elevation has given this tea a combination of a mild and aromatic finish to it. Ceylon (say-lawn) tea is a tea from Sri Lanka, a nation which was formerly known as “Ceylon.” Although some Sri Lankan producers are branching out in their offerings to include green tea and other tea types, most Ceylon teas are black teas.
Inverness Estate is situated in the famous Nuwara Eliya district in the central hills of Sri Lanka. Its also called the little England for the cool climate it enjoys and the picturesque setting of the landscape. It stands at approx: 1900 meters above sea level and enjoys the monsoon from both sides of the country. Well known to the connoisseur tea drinker.
The tea itself has a unique fragrance and a floral touch to the taste with a light brew in the cup. Mostly consumed straight but some like it with a dash of milk too.
