Description

Tie Guan Yin – Oolong loose leaf tea-

Tie Guan Yin Oolong is also known by other names i.e Iron Goddess of Mercy or Iron Buddha. This tea is known world over for creamy texture and flavour. This lightly oxidised tea is one of the famous Chinese oolongs, produced in Anxi County, in the southern part of Fujian province.

This tea is produced by using the  ‘wrap rolling’ technique, where withered and semi oxidised tea leaves are wrapped and tightly rolled to form tiny pellets, each with a small piece of stem sticking out. This tea, brews in to a golden yellowy green infusion, a light floral aroma with notes of freshly roasted nuts.

The real feature of this tea is its flavour: creamy, rich and floral with underlying notes of nectar and a smooth mouthfeel. This tea does  show enough divine qualities to live up to its name.
